A Golden Christmas Tree

A tree decorated with golden decorations.

If you’re looking for golden Christmas tree inspiration, have I got the tree for you! This year, I decided to use only white and yellow dry flowers, homemade citrus ornaments, a homemade white and yellow wool garland, and blown glass antique ornaments (that you can find on Amazon!) In this post, I’ll show you exactly what I used to create this gorgeous Christmas tree!

I simply love decorating my Christmas trees with dry flowers and natural touches like citrus ornaments, but this year, I decided to add a few more touches that I haven’t added before.

The first step to decorating this tree actually started 2 months ago when I bought about 15 (yes 15!) bouquets of white and yellow roses. Some were full-size roses and some were spray roses.

I hung them upside down in bunches so they could dry, then I added them to the tree after the lights. I included a few other fluffy looking flowers like gomphrena, bunny tails, and pussy willows too!

I also strung together a garland of white and golden wool balls to match the simple garland I made for my mantle! Just a needle and thread is all you need! I would use 3 white wool balls, then 1 golden ball and repeat to give it such a pretty, soft look!

Every year, I make these lovely little citrus ornaments. They not only look beautiful, they smell beautiful too! Take a look at my post on how to create beautiful smelling citrus ornaments!

I thought it would be fun to make the tree look more sparkly this year, so I included these gorgeous antique-style blown glass ornaments!

I also added these cute little ones as well. I just tied a little string to hang them, and put them anywhere that could use a little extra shine. You’ll also see little tinkly bells here and there. I also simply tied little strings to them to hang them all over the tree!

And finally, the perfect touch, little glass snowflakes. I use 2 boxes of them so I can include them all over the tree. I highly suggest placing ornaments INSIDE the tree, instead of only on the outer limbs. This makes the tree look so regal and elegant!

And finally, enjoy a photo of my little dog Toby in his special Christmas jammies! I hope you have a wonderful holiday!
