This sparkling pear & ginger cocktail is such a whimsically elegant, refreshing Christmas party signature and a perfect replacement for a Christmas morning mimosa! It’s floral and fruity, delicately ginger-spiced and twinkling with festive bubbles.

A pear and ginger cocktail, garnished with sliced pears on a cocktail pin and a few baby's breath flowers.

With homemade ginger-pear syrup, St. Germain, Prosecco and a little fresh lemon juice, You can easily make this cocktail for a crowd and serve it in a punch bowl at your Christmas party!

A Few Tips

1. To make homemade ginger-pear syrup:

Follow the simple recipe for homemade ginger-pear syrup. All you need is a saucepan, a potato masher, 2 pears, ½ cup of grated ginger, 2 tablespoons of sugar and some cheesecloth to strain the syrup. Or you can use my preferred tool, a nut bag. Nut bags are extra fine mesh bags used in making nut milks. It will ensure you get every drop of syrup from the mixture.

2. To make the cocktail garnish

Simply slice some pear and thinly slice into sections. Put 3 slices together and pierce through the bottom third with a cocktail pin and evenly fan them out. Cut and wash a small sprig of baby’s breath and place it gently on top of the pear slices.
