Frosted Blackberry Christmas Cocktail

This frosted blackberry and rosemary sake cocktail is such an elegant, chilly winter treat. Essentially a sake French Gimlet with muddled blackberry and rosemary - it’s herbal, floral and an enchanting purple hue.

  • cocktail shaker & jigger
  • muddler
  • cocktail pins or toothpicks
  • mesh cocktail strainer
  • citrus juicer

Ingredients

For the Garnish

  • 2

    blackberries

    - frozen for 2-3 hours
  • 1

    sprig rosemary

For the Cocktail

  • 3

    oz.

    sake

  • 1

    oz.

    St. Germain

  • ½

    oz.

    lime juice

    - fresh squeezed
  • 3 blackberries
  • 1 sprig rosemary

Instructions

  • Muddle 3 blackberries with 1 spring of rosemary in a cocktail shaker. Add 3 oz. sake, 1 oz. St. Germain and ½ oz. fresh squeezed lime juice.
  • Add ice and shake. Place blackberry garnish on glass and pour cocktail over a mesh cocktail strainer.

Notes

To frost the blackberries for garnish:
Skewer 2 blackberries onto a cocktail pin and place them in the freezer for 2 to 3 hours. Once you remove them from the freezer, they’ll begin to quickly frost. When completely frozen, they’ll stay beautifully frosted for at least 10-15 minutes after they’re removed from the freezer.
