These teeny tiny pies are perfect for a feminine garden party, a baby shower or any affair where you want your desserts to make every lady swoon!
I was trying to make the prettiest, tiniest pies I could make for a party, and I think I made some of the prettiest, tiniest pies there ever were!
I made a green apple & cinnamon pie, a peach & nectarine pie, and a sweet little strawberry pie. I covered them all with flowers and almost fainted, they were so pretty!
First, I lined my little tins with pie dough and prepared the little lattices. I tried to make them as thin as possible.
For each pie, I chopped the fruit up nice and tiny, then gave them all a little sprinkle of sugar, an even tinier sprinkle of cornstarch and a nice squeeze of about half a tiny lemon.
I mixed them in a tiny bowl and spooned them into their tins. Then, I carefully placed the lattices. I baked them all for about 20 minutes at 375, and they came out like this. Well… without the flowers 😉
I added just a few little flowers and I couldn’t have imagined them looking any prettier. The lattices were pretty time consuming, so if you plan to make a dozen or more, give yourself a solid 2 hours just for the lattice work alone… but it’s so worth it!
